Qatar has announced it’s third stadium work completion on schedule as Education City stadium is ready to host the 2022 world cup. Khalifa International Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium have been completed already from a list of 8 grounds to organize football’s showpiece event.
It is also revealed that a live programme will be happening on 15th June to mark the work completion of Education city stadium which has capacity of 45,350 spectators. The program will celebrate the efforts and contribution of workers in this difficult Coronavirus time period.
“The stadium’s completion will be marked on June 15 with a live programme which celebrates the contribution of front-line workers during the coronavirus pandemic. The show will also discuss the future of sport, mental health and fan experience in a post-COVID-19 world,” world cup organizing committee said in a statement.
Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Rayyan Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium and Lusail Stadium are remaining Qatar venues to be completed before the start of mega event and organizers are confident that these will be completed by 2021.
“The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy remains on track to deliver all eight stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 well ahead of schedule,” SC said.
The 22nd edition of football world cup will be played from 21 November. France to defend their title in Qatar 2022.
