“A Great Honor and Proud to captain Indian team,” Suresh Raina

Outlook Indian cricket batman Suresh Raina recently interacted with BCCI on social site twitter where he answered to various questions. Board of cricket control in India twitter handle asked left-handed batsman how it was to lead Men in Blue.

“You led India in 12 ODIs & 3 T20Is. How would you sum up the feeling of captaining #TeamIndia? #askraina,” BCCI asked.

To answer this, Raina said it was proud moment to captain the national side. Raina lead Indian team in 12 One-Day Internationals and 3 twenty20s during 2010 and 2011 period.

“It”s been a great honour and proud moment !!” Raina replied.

On his success as a cricketer, he credited his parents for his determination, positivity and support that he got over the years from them.

“Determination, positivity, and guidance from my parents helped me to focus & taught me how to fight back strong,” said the 33-year left-handed middle order batsman.

Suresh Raina was asked what he did with the first salary he got. He quickly replied that he received first money from Air India and he purchased handbag for his sister.

“First salary that I got from Air India, I bought a handbag for my sister.”

Raina would be playing for Chennai Super Kings this time if Vivo IPL 2020 happened. But now he’s spending time at home where’s training and at times preparing food dishes.
